Thanks for that prompt advise. Unfortunately, I have already tried that but I get an alert "The export could not be performed. An error occured while initializing MAPI."Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

I've had a good look around help and support but this error is only dealt with in Outlook Express, which I don't have!Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

The error "The export could not be performed. An error occured while initializing MAPI." relates to exporting the messages from Windows Mail, so the Outlook/Outlook Express is irrelevant at the moment. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Reading further in Vista groups, it would appear you need to have Outlook installed on the Vista PC in order to do this. Defeats the object really!Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

Surely that is only if you want to transfer from Windows Mail to Outlook on the same machine! It is obviously possible to move mail from one machine to another. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I would have thought so but people on microsoft forums say you need the "outlook plumbing"Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

That doesn't make sense to me. Before you could import the mail (into any program on any machine) you need to export it from Windows Mail. I have never used Windows Mail but have done similar exports on other OS's. It's when importing that the conversion is done by selecting the mail type. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
