Thanks, I did look at quite a few reviews and almost consistently OVO + BG were at the bottom for customer services with Octopus and M&S energy at the top but M&S is a fronted for Octopus so no surprise there. Whilst these sites are useful as a gauge, asking for actual personal experience is by far the best measure in my experience. Some of these review sites can be swayed by business interests e.g. advertising revenue. However when enough of them are saying the same thing and this marries with what folk are saying, then you know you are on the right track.

So far, I've recieved a pretty good service from Octopus. Very polite over the phone. Happy to take time to explain something. However, they have got more busy and now I find  a quicker response via twitter from them. 
For me they are the best energy company, which I've been with.
