Should I change my heating system to gas?

Depends on the cost of gas connection, but it may be cheaper to remain all electric and install NSH's than install gas CH and DHW.
But in the meantime, switch to single rate, it's almost certainly costing you more than E7 if you have the heating on in the daytime, Why are you on this tariff if no NSH's?
NB: gas boilers are not being 'phased out in the next few years'. Gas boilers in new builds are being banned from 2030. But for 99% of the housing stock which already has them they will be around and working happily for decades. Assuming we can still get the gas to fuel them of course. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I moved into the property 2 months ago and this was the set up the previous owner had.elsien said:

A lot of people get rid of 'old fashioned' NSH's without realising they are the most economic method of electric heating. And then compound the error by not switching to a single rate tariff. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I wonder whether there were previously NSH's there that were removed before they sold, in that case. Possible as a lot of people had the view that particularly older NSH's would impact on value.wolfe111 said:

Doing a bit of research on the current radiators, they are these water based (model 6080) ones www.hwelectric.co.uk/heat-electric.php (I cant post links)EssexHebridean said:

Oh yes, those look suitably bank-breaking to run. At least they don't make any claims about being "ultra efficient" though!
