Stolen medications

Had a parcel delivered yesterday, despite it being small enough to fit though the letterbox the courier decided to leave it hanging out the letterbox. 10 minutes later someone else walks by, hangs around for 3 minutes and then walks back, takes the packet out our letterbox and walks off. We have a video doorbell so its all captured and now with the police.
Ordinarily this would be straight forward, the CCR says title is still with the sender and they'll reclaim from the courier for being donuts for leaving the parcel hanging out the letterbox. The issue is that the parcel contained prescription medicines (private prescription) so can the pharmacy just send more? They've the video of it being taken and the crime reference number or will I have to get another prescription? Would then be at the mercy of if the Doc wants to charge to reissue it or not.

It will depend on what the medication is and if there is a pharmacist who is able to issue prescriptions or not, if not your prescription would need to be redone by the doctor. You really need to just discuss it with the pharmacy.0

I agree it depends on what been prescribed, but being a private prescription would lead me to think it would be something that would need to be represcribed.
This would be that the Dr can make a note on why it has been reissued with such a short time-frame

Think this is one to start with the doctor & explain the situation. Unless pharmacy is prepared to reissue.Life in the slow lane0

If this is a private prescription I'd suggest it depends on the contract between you and the doctor. They might reissue at no cost to you in the circumstances, but I think I might expect to be charged again...0

In my experience no way - I take controlled drugs and there's no way a pharmacy would reissue without a new script - and I'd struggle to get a new script in the same timeframe. For some things a Dr would reissue no program - for others I would really struggle to get a reissue until I was next due - and they would look at whether this has happened before.
As it's private there's nothing to say the Dr has any obligation either to you.:eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20170 -

So unless you tell them, they will be non the wiser.Life in the slow lane0
