£10 Tesco voucher from Toluna today and £1.03 from Qmee takes me to £137.21/£280.
I think I need to look into the switches, I've not done any yet. I like my Barclays and I'm worried about messing up my direct debits.

    Hi @jak

I don't use my usual bank account for the switches for that same reason.  I opened a separate bank account to start the process, added a couple of charity DD's for the direct debit requirement, and then use this to switch from bank to bank, so feel like I'm giving to charity as same time as earning some extra money :)  Some details below and hope this helps -

Not sure if this is useful for you to know but when you switch an account to First Direct, there is no requirement to set up any direct debits in the new account. This helped me decide. 😀

Thanks guys. I'll deffo look into it properly now. That sets my mind at rest for sure.
You won't believe what has just happened!!!! I ran out of my meds so have been searching everywhere and I found my old medicine chest that I've not used for several years. No meds unfortunately but I found £220 in cash! God knows where it came from but I'm taking that as a massive win! My illness makes me very forgetful so I must have put it there ages ago for something then forgot all about it. I'm including it in this months 'free' money! Woo x
    Now £360.50 in total.

Thanks very much @Mrscautious - I did First Direct as my first switch, but then had to add the DD's for the next switch but this all took so long that the switch had finished by the time they were set up :)

  • £8.14 today. P/fc finally approved some and a little bit from Q/me as well. Still a lot in the P/fc waiting to approve, after having a much better day, for which I am very grateful.

That's useful info @Hollie_Hobbie. I had never thought of doing that. I haven't done any switches for that very same reason.
