2 retailers 2 Couriers -One Homebase Destination, Why.

Hi mser's.

I have placed orders from Next and JD Sports recently.
Both online accounts have my Home Delivery Address.
My parcels were Delivered to one local Homebase store.
Next e-mail specified Homebase JD Sports didn't.
Are Couriers Evri and Yodel now auto choosing Homebase, without my knowledge.

thanks

I suspect that you have ticked something somewhere in your payment method- retailers don't just randomly send things to Homebase- they expect the buyer to opt for that, usually by means of a tick box, when ordering.

Click and collect is becoming very popular , but it is always the buyers choice - often encouraged by means of a small discount in postage, not the retailers choice. Commonly it is on the postage page and is something like £2.99 delivery to 'Homebase' £3.99 for home address, £4.99 for faster delivery to home address.

    thanks

I honestly don't recall choosing click+collect from one never mind two retailers.
I'll pay attention if any further orders which won't be until mid or later this year.
I tried searching drop off points for both retailers and my local Homebase isn't listed as yet.

    thanks appreciated.

I noticed it when browsing a site recently, there was a banner on the site that said something like ‘ reduced postage of £2.99 ‘ . When I actually checked the £2.99 was click and collect and their standard postage was still £4.50 to a come address. The £2.99 was highlighted on the payment page, you had to scroll down a bit to see the ‘to home’ options.
