I've seen this :
https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/beat-the-energy-price-cap-with-a-tracker-tariff-at-octopus-energy-4078767?page=11#comment
And I was wondering if you can still use agile exports for that?

Yes - is the short answer. The longer answer is on the Octopus website:
Octopus Agile Outgoing
Good to know:
- You'll need a smart meter from which we are able to receive half-hourly export data. This includes almost all SMETS2 meters and most SMETS1 but please contact us for confirmation or if you don't know which one you have
- Currently, you can't be on both Outgoing Octopus and Octopus Go, our EV tariff, at the same time.
- If you have started receiving FiT payments in the last 12 months, the FiT rules mean you won't be able to switch to Outgoing Octopus just yet

Can confirm, I'm on Tracker for gas and Agile for import and export.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) installed Mar 22
Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25
Octopus Cosy/Fixed Outgoing0 -
Any particular reason why you're on agile for imports?Alnat1 said:Can confirm, I'm on Tracker for gas and Agile for import and export.0 -
It allows me to charge up the battery and run dishwasher/washer/dryer if cheaper overnight slots on no-sun days so quite useful over the winter.
It's capped at the same price as SVT but SC is only 21p a day.
I don't have an EV.
I think that's 3 good reasons

(Just to point out for anyone considering Agile that these don't apply to the newer versions.)Alnat1 said:It allows me to charge up the battery and run dishwasher/washer/dryer if cheaper overnight slots on no-sun days so quite useful over the winter.

Oooh. I don't have an EV but I do have batteries. I take it that's also decent then for myself?Spoonie_Turtle said:

Or more so I've currently got 8 panels, and one 3kWh battery
I'll be getting 8 more panels, and around another four batteries at least because whilst I might pull an average of 300 kWh a month, it isn't exactly 10 kWh a day0 -
I am on Intelligent for Electricity (<12p/kWh average cost) and just (a few hours ago) contacted the Octopus Twitter team to move to Tracker for gas. I just looked at my email and I am on the tracker tariff as of mid day today! - How is that for service and on a Sunday! Well done Octopus!0

Thanks. I might consider going to Agile once I've got even more panels = batteries.pip895 said:I am on Intelligent for Electricity (<12p/kWh average cost) and just (a few hours ago) contacted the Octopus Twitter team to move to Tracker for gas. I'd hazard a guess that wholesale electricity prices would drop between March and September
My rationale for that is:
People will likely be exporting energy into the grid from their own roofs
Wind farms do, do that too however we don't exactly have wind farms on top of people's roofs, so they're reliant on specific wind farms
I'd love to have a wind farm dead close by. It means 20-50% cheaper energy when in operation which is pretty decent0
