snoozer said:tonight I want to watch Sort your life out which simultaneously makes me happier with my lot and gives me the urge to lay out the contents of our loft somewhere to sort out.I did have a good laugh at that, it's very similar to what I feel but i like to point out to OH, see, our house is not so bad eh?
Izzy, glad his moles are fine too, it's so easy to worry when none of us are in the esoteric mole identification club..

Cold here this morning with a frost the dogs and I are under a blanket on the sofa
I have a wash on the go which will be hung on the airer in front of the fire once it’s going later.

Just a quickie to say I am still here and recovering albeit slowly.
Had to relight the rayburn this morning . This last lot of coal turns to ash at the drop of a hat. It's all our coal merchant can get at the moment so will have to persevere. Just needs managing differently but the odd weather hasn't helped with cold North slight winds to full on Westerly gales.
Animals all ok and enjoying the frost free grass. Field starting to churn up a bit now, but not too bad.
Noticed we had a couple of days with 3 pages!! Was tempted to post and be a page 3 boi, but thought better of it. Not a pretty sight lol
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all, it's dry again but windy with intermittent sunshine. I got loads done yesterday including stripping the bed and washing the bedding with the added bonus that all the washing got line dried yesterday, fist time this year and long may that continue ! I have a padded coat in the wm this morning so I'll hang that out when it's done, fingers crossed that will dry today too.
We have been invited to DD's for lunch today as most of our schools are closed or part closed because of the strike so she and DGD are both home. DGD has 2 new dwarf hamsters and DGS has one, so I shall be hamster whispering 😁
Right the coat is washed so I'll chance putting it out.
Take care all. Hugs for those poorly or struggling.

welcome to February !
I think we're on DGS pick up duty, his class and the one below are in, as the HT said they were the ones who missed out most during lockdown. DGD is off. I did notice the difference in traffic volume this morning, walking down the main road with DDog.I've got peri peri chicken breasts out this morning from the butchers, & last night it was Italian meatballs.I did orzo with it for the men, hoping to fool DH into thinking it was riceas he's not keen on pasta - didn't work !
Taff- Hope the optician visit gets to the bottom of your vision problem . The hire van is here until they decide to repair it or write it off, it's DH van Gers. He's just had a phone call asking him to send photos in of the damage ( 2 weeks later)Enjoy your nails RR, and hope the school can be saved dp1Spent most of yesterday once jobs were done , either reading or catching up on tv programmes, but I did go for a walk.Probably more of the same today...Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
