This month we are delighted to not only be hosting Château Léoville Poyferré in the boardroom for one of our infamous Spectator Winemaker Lunches, but also to be helping the Cuvelier family celebrate a major birthday. In order to do just that the Cuveliers have very generously offered us a magnum of the 2020 vintage Grand Vin itself to give away to one lucky Spectator subscriber.

Although 2020 will inherently be remembered by all, for the Cuvelier Family it is of special significance, marking as it does the centenary of the Family’s ownership of this the fabled 2ème cru estate of St Julien. Against all odds, this vintage managed to deliver its promise and perfectly reveal the timelessness of the terroirs of Château Léoville Poyferré.

This mighty Château is in sparkling form and this anniversary vintage celebrates the timeless style of Léoville Poyferré, a powerful wine that has a distinguished suppleness and bright fruit character

Good luck,

Jonathan Ray, Spectator drinks editor
