Back at work so little progress as not much more I can do until the plumber comes to move piping for a bigger radiator and then the plasterer.

managed to insulated everything I can now wall will be done once plumber does his thing but everything taped, edges cleaned up for the most part, carpet etc.

might Tackle the floor as it’s squeaky while I wait a few weeks.

Mein Gott - I can feel the heat from here!
  • Just a bit of an update, finally got all the insulation done after a bit of strengthening.
we have boarding and plaster coming shortly.

now paying attention to the floor and what a sh** show, half not screwed down, some plained within an inch of their life, gone back to the original floor and sorting all the boards, don’t even know why they did it as bar £100 it’s fine and gets rid of the bloody squeaks!

You are really getting on with this

Interesting solution for the floor - 'microjoists'! That's at least an inch of headroom gone - any reason you didn't remove the old tasty boards first?

Honestly because i never expected it to get this far. When it did I just thought we may as well look and fixed the original. 😂
  • Sorry about the delays. Had a disaster with the plasterer which meant a lot of sanding and filling. However after a bit we have this.

  • And the final resort bar sorting some
new spot lights and window architrave.
