New TSB Cash Bonus Offer

Options
New TSB cash bonus offer starts tomorrow. Not sure of all the details and who can qualify but here's hoping as it was a while since I took advantage of TSB cash offer. Looks to be £200 all together but looks like a a lump sum at start and more if account still open after 6 months. However, there could be a £3 service charge attached.

Cheers!!!

I hope there isn't a £3 fee attached, not seen this in any of the news articles I have read this morning. Do you have a source for this please?

Edit - I assume you mean the £3 fee for the Spend & Save Plus (which it currently has the £3 fee). The Spend & save account currently has no fee

Slightly off topic, but still on topic. If I want to open a joint current account with TSB it says on their website to go into branch. Does anyone know if there is another way to add someone to a current account without going into branch as I know other branches offer this service via telephone or by filling a form out.

    Try an online only bank.

We had to go in, it was OK because there was a branch local, there isn't now.

You didn't say you wanted the account for switching (the topic) so I assumed your overriding requirement was to get a joint account.

If you are after the switch bonus and there's two of you, you can both get the bonus by switching sole accounts (even if you have to first create suitable sole accounts). That's assuming you both fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  • Anyone going to try for this who did the switch&stay offer around October 2022 time? That was £125 upfront and then £55 next June. But they don’t merge accounts so I wonder if they’d notice

Until the terms are announced it's pointless to speculate.

There will be, almost certainly, a condition that excludes anyone getting a previous bonus. That will, almost certainly, specifically exclude the Oct 2022 offer recipients.

That's my speculation, but as I say, it's pointless now, best wait until tomorrow when the terms are published and then you can assess whether there's a definite opportunity or maybe, if they're lax with checking (I'd wager they won't be!), the possibility of an opportunity.
