Morning all
Late one for me as I was up half the night listening to OH snoringhe has a cold atm which makes it worse but there is nothing more annoying than listening to someone else ‘sleep’ !
I’ve just put the second of the dogs beds on to wash as they were getting a bit wiffy washed all their blankets yesterday too.
Chicken casserole for dinner tonight will prep it after this so will just need to pop it in the oven later and do some rice to go with it.
Coxy how sad about that young man it’s always dreadful when it’s a younger person xx
Topsy good luck for today, hope ds is ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all, the sun is out again so the wm is on as yesterdays work clothes dried well, so I'm hoping today's load will too.
Yesterday didn't go as expected with many interruptions, my online shop arriving, 2 separate pharmacy deliveries with our meds, a delivery of a new fan heater which wasn't supposed to come till Friday ( our van one went up in smoke literally) Then an SOS call from Dad as his microwave had become a flame thrower 😲 I think he over exaggerated that, but we took him to get another one as that and the gas hob are his only means of cooking these days. Of course Mr Fix It had then to take the old one out and fit the new one in as we're both much too small too reach safely 😂 We left Dad studying the guide but we may have a call as to what all the buttons do.
Today I'm not planning anything, I have lots of things to keep me occupied including playing shopkeeper and rotating my stock then adding my new stores, cleaning the upstairs etc.
I hope everyone can have a good Tuesday and everything goes as it should.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and anyone in need.

Hi everyone,
Topsy, I hope your interview went well.
I must say that I am enjoying the reinvigorated thread, long may it continue.
I made two loaves last night and the larger one has almost gone already, I'm afraid that I have created a monster, I really don't want to bake every day.
We had salmon new potatoes and veg last night with home made hollandaise sauce so I have 3 egg whites in the freezer waiting to be made into meringues.
This afternoon I need to go to Cambridge with Steve for his check up, he needs to get there an hour early to have a blood test so I think I will drop him off and go to the shops, I need to get him a birthday card for next week. Then we are going on to Ely Cathedral for a talk by Ellie Griffiths, then home for about 10. I hope we get chance to eat somewhere in all that.
Have a good day.8 -
The weather hasn't improved any - in fact it's getting worse. I had hoped to go out into town but have decided against it even though there are periods of calm and brightness. I'll just have to sit tight.Coxy - what a dreadful tragedy for that young man's family.Camelot - I suspect that the decongestant tablets may be responsible for your tummy upset - perhaps they contain artificial sweeteners.Snoozer - was it your DH's van which was damaged recently? If so, is there any news of it being repaired yet?Ruby - nothing too strenuous I hope!I may be forced into cleaning the inside of the fridge door if I can't get out.9

DP1, I'd heard about that play park at the Alnwick Garden. We'll be going there soon to renew our "Friends" cards. All the spring bulbs will be popping through. I'll be interested to see what's happening.
Coxy, I meant to say, how awful about the death of that young man you knew, what a shock.
Hope you'll soon feel better Camelot.8 -
Morning...just...went to bed at half four today thanks to the cat going for a wander. Todays jobs, pick up more shredded paper, finish the last bit of compost, RoD, OHs mums house for tea. Mole was fine, if it changes I an self refer back to them. The doc was funny, he really seemed to be he would have been more at home in a gabled Victorian house in the country with a labrador and a jar of lollies in his surgery. We've changed our preferred neat rum to drink now, it's now Kraken coffee...Oh dear, it's so very moreish...It's just a shame we have so many other bottles of spiced rum to get through...:) I might be going axe throwing on Saturday, have to phone the venue to check I can do it first though, I'm looking forward to that, I feel my viking dna stirring..Coxy, such a shame about your sons friend, hugs. Scarlet, you're almost tempting me to wander through nature, your descriptions are lovely. camelot, that's been hanging round a bit hasn't it? nanny, busy day then..you competeing against izzy for the crown?
snoozer, I ggogled sourdough , that site was the first to come up. I must admit, I read it and my heart quailed at the faff, well done to you for doing that...I'll think about it a bit more I think
Rosy, has he got the courtesy one indefinitely? Right, take care all, hugs to the poorlies , it's time I got on...

Don't worry, you're not allowed!
I love spiced rum, my ex favourite used ot be Red Leg, but on it's own with ice. I have gt a whisky at the moment which is spiced and it's so very very smooth, I'd recommend that one too
