Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was southern fried chicken, pizza, chips (menfolk) and salad. Tonight will be leftovers from roast.
Yesterday work wasn't too bad, we'll see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning all. Bright and early this morning. Off to work a bit later today as for the last 2 months temporary traffic lights have made my journey to work twice as long and it only usually takes me 15 minutes so was very happy when I saw that they'd all gone when I drove in yesterday. Little things mean alot!!Topsy hope your day goes well today and good luck for the interview and hope your son's scan goes well.Salmon for tea. Will try it in my airfryer tonight for a change.Wishing all the porlies well. Have a good day all12

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Glad to hear that your journry to work is a bit shorter Chrisca, little things like that do mean a lot, I'm all for making life smoother and easier!Topsy, sounds like you and your poor son had a bad day yesterday, i hope today is better, good luck for the interview.Carolbee, through the Scottish Borders and Northumberland on the East coast main line is lovely isn't it, truly beautiful. We live in N Durham, so visiting /holidaying in Northumberland and Scotland is easy for us, we'll be up there in the caravan no doubt in a couple of months. We also like the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire generally, another popular holiday venue for us. We've travelled all over the UK over the years of motor homing and caravanning, and had some lovely holidays. We should go and check that the caravan is ok, we haven't been to look at it this year so far. It's in secure storage, but it's an old van and we will pop over to check that there are no leaks around the windows, and that the tyres are ok.I'm meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon, just in one of the local cafes, and it's the quiz tonight.Nanny, the bottom of my wardrobe is tidy now, but will soon degenerate into a morass of boots and spare coathangers!Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today - Camelot hope you finally go to speak to someone at the Drs yesterday. It's a bit dispiriting to be told you're 25th in the queue.Thoughts to our other poorly people as well, take care folks.13

Morning folks. The blustery wind all night was so noisy again and doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon. Yesterday I got a text message from the electricity network company warning about 'unsettled' weather which may lead to power outages. This warning lasts until tomorrow so I've put out candles and matches in readiness. For now I send healing vibes to all our poorlies and sad. Happy last Tuesday in January to all.11

Morning everyone,
DH cooked a lovely new recipe last night of grilled chilli salmon – very quick and easy. He’s in London today and having dinner with colleagues so I’ll do a kiddy dinner of egg and sw chips – really looking forward to it!
Washing is on and I will put it on the airer shortly. Need to pop out to post a Bay of E sale later and will pick up more fruit and some more herbal tea. Have switched over since I had the grotty throat and cough at Christmas.
Good luck to @topsyturphy for your interview this morning. I hope your DS is doing okay and your injury isn’t too bad xx
Great that your commute is easier @Chrisca50 – I too love the small things!
Enjoy your meet up and quiz @ScarletRibbons
Good luck for WI @Izzybee
Hope you’re not too inconvenience by the power outage @Gers
Get well soon to all our poorlies x

Morning Everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc.
I need to hang my washing out first and then I'm off to Aldi to do my 2 weekly shop.
Hope everyone has a 'terrific Tuesday'. xx9 -
Morning All
It's a bit rough out this morning, rain battering the windows and a very strong gusty wind. Just the day to stay at home again. Got a Docs appointment yesterday, no infection, just a heavy cold and horrid catarrh. Went to the pharmacy for some decongestant tablets that seemed to work but I think it's them that kept me awake, ended up coming down to make tea at 1.30. On top of that I seem to have an upset tummy - everything at once!
Hope your DS has had a comfortable night Topsy, good luck for today.
I would be happy too Chrisca, nothing worse than being stuck in road works.
Well done on tidying the wardrobe Scarlett - would you like to tackle mine?
Hope your power stays on Gers.
How exciting carolbee, I love putting everything back in a newly decorated room. I went to the Alnwick Garden and Castle last year, stayed at Cresswell Towers, beautiful area to visit.
Will try to do a bit of housework this morning, I currently have soda crystals and vinegar in the shower drain as it's going a bit slow again.
Take care. XX11 -
Morning all; dull and windy here this morning.
Off to Zumba this morning and them I'm waiting for a call from the tyre place so say my new tyres are in; hope I can get them fitted today. Had them checked yesterday and need four new ones but they only had two in stock.
Was going to make a cake yesterday but didn't get round to it. DH did wash both the cars though; they were filthy. Had salmon and roasted veg for dinner last night. Today it will be a small piece of gammon with assorted veg before going off to Morris practice tonight.
Happy Tuesday everyone. WL11 -
Morning everyone
Wild and windy again today. Morning to myself and then down to work at lunchtime.
Was a quiet afternoon yesterday as there was a couple of children off with a tummy bug. Then I came home and read most of my Sunday Times.
Camelot /ScarletRibbons - theres a huge play village being built at Alnwick Gardens to open this year - Lilidorei - it's to be the biggest playpark in the world. The pictures of what it's to look like are amazing.
Coxy - you've made me fancy egg and chips.
Well I'm going to get some jobs done. Hope everyone has a good day x11
