    Striking about working conditions, if you are a member of a union, is perfectly legal. Bear in mind that a trade union can only call for industrial action if a majority of its members involved support it.

    Any one they choose to join.

    With a very few exceptions, everybody has the right to join a union. It does not have to be "recognised" by the employer but even if it is not the employee still has the rights given to union members in employment law.
