Correct probate form

Having looked at previous posts I cannot see my query has been covered. My mother-in-law died on 6 December 2022. She died in Belfast and had always been a N Ireland resident. My husband is executor and we live in England. We cannot complete the online probate application on gov.uk link to the N Ireland site as we do not have a postcode in NI. We also cannot complete the on-line application on the UK / England site as mother-in-law died in N Ireland (not part of the UK where probate is concerned, apparently). We have printed off form PA1P but before we go ahead and manually complete the 20+ pages, can anyone confirm this is the correct form please? We have worked our way through the Inheritance Tax site and have confirmation that no IHT is due as the estate will not exceed £59,000. Thanks.

Do you actually need probate? If the £59k is spread between a number of financial institutions you may find they will pay the executor without probate.

Thanks for the thought Keep_pedalling but all the money is in one bank account (in N Ireland) and the bank has advised probate is required.

You actually need forms NIPF1 and NIPF7 for a NI probate application.
