Morning Gers or should I say Arnold Schwarzenegger
Morning all. Soon to be February, and let's hope warmer weather is round the corner. Expecting my T*sco delivery between 9-10 and the app is telling me it will be between 10.03 an 10.33. Oh well that'll give me time to get washed and dressed and do some ironing before it arrives instead of afterwards now! Shepherds pie for dinner. Have a good day everyone

Well, blow me down! I close my eyes for a few seconds and suddenly it's nearly two hours later and it's almost light. There's too much grey cloud and mist to tell if the night has gone completely. Then there's the sheets of rain and pounding wind which doesn't help.Yesterday was very nearly lovely, certainly fairly fine. Only a little drizzle for most of the day. I took my black bag of rubbish to the tip then bought some blue cheese and crackers, just to add to the other pieces of cheese in the fridge. 😀 My evening was quiet, TV, glass of wine, cheese and crackers followed by bed for a bit more TV.
As for today, I'm disinclined to get out of bed, I've been to the loo and made coffee so am back under my duvet - and very nice it is too. At some point I will face the grey day though not yet.I hope that those with horrible coughs and nasty colds are wrapped up warmly and taking plenty of fluids. A hug to everyone having a difficult time. Happy Sunday to all.10 -
Morning All
Damp and breezy out this morning, such a change to yesterday. I got two loads of washing nearly dried yesterday, just needed airing off by the fire, all ready to put away this morning.
Feeling a bit better this morning after a good nights sleep, put some vapour rub on a hankie tucked down my pj top but couldn't smell it so I think it's too old although the date says it should be fine. A lack of taste and smell spurred me on to do a covid test but that's negative - a rotten cold it is then! Apart from the washing yesterday I did nothing so must try harder today.
Going to do some shopping this morning and clean the bathrooms then it'll be more doing nothing.
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX11 -
Morning Everyone & 'thank you' Gers for starting us off.
It's a lot warmer here today - dry/windy so I have my sheets in the washing machine - hopefully they will dry? I have also put some chicken legs in the slow cooker (they have been in the freezer far too long and needed using). Hopefully I will have a nice curry to portion up.
Hope everyone is well - Happy Sunday x10 -
Hi everyone,
I had to get up to deal with the sourdough loaf which had been proving all night. It's now on it's final prove before baking so I will report back on it's success, or lack of, later taff. I've been following the methods described at The Clever Carrot website because it seems fairly comprehensive and I needed idiot proof instructions. It was pretty time consuming but you don't need to knead it and I can see that you would get into a reasonable rhythm with it. Fingers crossed it's ok. If it works it will certainly be cheaper than buying sourdough loaves.
Apart from making bread I went food shopping with Laura and did some sewing, Brian made dinner (jerk chicken) which was very tasty. Duck for dinner tonight.
I hope all the poorly people are as well as can be.
Have a good day.

Morning everyone
It's wild and windy here this morning. I'm still in bed nice and cosy and planning on having a lazy morning, resting my voice so hopefully I can take little one to the pantomime later.
Camelot - I've done a Covid test too - negative thankfully. I just remembered I still had some from when we had to do them for work.
Yesterday was lazy - I found a lovely programme with Robson Green visiting places in the North East and watched several episodes.
Hope everyone has a good day today x11 -
Hello all, it's damp and foggy this morning and not very nice outside. DD called in for coffee yesterday and she brought Jasper dog who waited patiently for his biscuit with his eyes always on the tin, it was lovely to see them both and have a catch up. DD is on strike on Wednesday and DGD will also be at home as her teacher is out too, so hopefully we can get together for lunch.
I sorted the freezers yesterday and found some bananas in there so I will make a banana cake in the air fryer, never tried it in there so I'll see how it turns out. My stores were checked and I'm low on coffee and tea bags 😱so I'll add them to an online order today. Nothing much else will be done, it'll be a restful day and we have the new Jurassic park movie ready to watch for an afternoon matinee.
Have a good Sunday everyone, hugs to all.
Take care, stay safe and warm.
