Wow! Just how difficult is it to open a UK bank account from the USA......

Ok..

i have existing pension investment in the UK, i have lived in the USA for 5 years!

now having turned 55 i figured i could get my 25% tax free/ not tax free, depending on how i declare the lump sum i guess to the IRS

Question though is...

My private pension provider (pensionBee) will only electronic deposit into a PRA regulated British bank account, in my name

Needless to say i no longer have one and no existing relative in the UK either

Options....

1. Find a UK bank account i can open without a UK address
2. Open a multi currency account with HSBC or similar? does anyone have advice re this?
3. Hold off and wait and see if electronic banking will get more advanced per money laundering regs
4  Donate my fund to Ukraine

help!

And thanks in advance!
