Travel Insurance: Awaiting medical investigation query

Hi,
We have booked a 2 week holiday in August (2 adults and 2 children) and want to book travel insurance. However, I am awaiting a gastroscopy to confirm if I have coeliac disease. If I declare coeliac disease on the policy, it doesn't seem to alter the policy in anyway but obviously this has not yet been diagnosed. Would anyone please have any advice for what I should do in the meantime? My procedure is booked for next month but it could take several months for the results to come back. Ideally I want to take insurance out now so we are covered for everything else and understand I would not be covered for a medical condition I haven't disclosed but don't know the best thing to do? Thanks very much in advance if anyone has any suggestions.

Technically your under investigation which insurers don't like.
I know some of them will exclude conditions that are under investigation e.g. Aviva have done this for me in the past. (Infact all the insurers I spoken to, Aviva was the only one that would do it for me at the time.)
Your best bet is to give the insurer your wanting to go with a call and see their stance on it.FTB - April 20201 -
Hi SaverRate, thanks very much for your reply! I will give some insurers a call and see what options I may have. Failing any luck there, I will just have to wait for my results without insurance and keep my fingers crossed I don't need it until then! Thanks again0

Once you get the official diagnosis just give them a call and say you have a diagnosis now, if you have coeliac disease they will offer to cover it for you (not sure if extra premium applies) or if you come back clear they just remove the restriction on the policy.
