Been trying to buy a label from royal mail online and I seem to be having some issues.  I do not seem to have the option of printing at home.  I only get the collection option.  Am I doing something wrong?  I want to print label at home and then dropparcel at the post office. I am using a desktop as do not know how to print if using ipad. Thanks

Just remove the collection option at checkout before you pay.

It is not very clear.  Just buy the service including the collection option.  Then when you actually proceed to pay it will show as 2 items - one for the postage and the other for the collection label.  Untick the collection bit.  Once you have paid you can see your document on top right corner.  You can print from here.

I have just, today, sent a parcel to NZ, you can print the label at home but you cannot drop off at a post office.
Collection was on time and I left it in a safe place as we were going out.

How reliable is collection or is it better to drop at the post office? Parcel weighs 6 kgs. Thanks

I have been using the collection service for nearly 2 years now and have never been let down. I thought they had forgotten one day but a postie came back at 5PM for my parcel. Apparently the van was too full earlier so they came when they emptied the post boxes. Saturday collections are handy as a lot of post offices are either closed or the last time for collection is about 11AM. If you have a late night sale the postie will often take an extra parcel even if it's not booked.
