DVD recorder question

Whatever we record on our panasonic dvd recorder, when we play it, in the top left corner, the letters HDMI1 is shown. Is this something like the logo's which are displayed when viewing the freeview stations? or is it something that can be removed, and how?.

It is produced by your DVD player as the format of the disc.0

More likely, "HDMI1" is the port that the recorder recorded from. I don't know the box specifically, but if you go into the setup screens there will probably be a "Display Channel number" or "Display Input" setting that's selected when it shouldn't be.0
