Hello all, the weather is grey again but it is dry and one degree warmer today.
I did 2 loads of washing yesterday, I don't know where it all comes from, there's only 2 of us. It's still drying upstairs so I'll check it in a minute. The curry last night was delicious, sort of a butter turkey but it gave me terrible indigestion.
After weeks of no noise from workmen next door and Tom neighbour saying that the house is finished, woody woodpecker is back ( the electrician) merrily tapping away. The house hasn't had any viewings let alone sold, actually the other side is still on the market too, so he's rented Joan's temporarily for 6mths to an "old couple" who are about 60 😲. I wonder how old he thinks we are ? We must be ancient 🤣 Don't know when they will move in though as they've put the date back by 2 weeks already.
Today I need to check my stores ready to do an online shop and also sort out the freezers again, I seem to spend most of my days tiding those up ! I have to ring Dad tonight too so I hope he's in a better mood. Sorry I'm waffling today, I'm just procrastinating about those freezers.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need, especially those with the horrible cold it, seems to be doing the rounds.
nan xx

Afternoon everyone
Well when I woke up this morning could only speak in a croaky whisper. Little one was unimpressed at first 'try harder granny!' but soon found it hilarious! She's been despatched home earlier than usual and I'm going to be very lazy for the rest of today. I don't feel particularly poorly just really tired and still coughing.
Hoping I'm ok to take her to the pantomime tomorrow, but if not DD will take her.
Snoozer I work in one of those 'plague pits' and even after 18 years still catch every germ going!
Had a chat with my boss yesterday and I'm just going to work afternoons for the next few weeks - hopefully it will help.
Right, my ironing and a pan of bolognese sauce was sorted this morning while little one was playing in her den under the kitchen table so I'm going to put my feet up and watch something I've recorded.
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Hi all and thanks for the start @Gers x Glad you had a good day yesterday.
I have been to FC – a 2lb gain which I can only put down to TOTM which hasn’t appeared yet but I have sore breasts and stomach cramps (and a short temper). Didn’t happen last month so thought I’d gotten away with it, but maybe not…. We are out for dinner tonight for DS2’s birthday which is tomorrow but he has plans to go to church with GF and her family.
I found a lovely Lindy Bop dress in a CS earlier for £6 which will be perfect for a Coronation tea party we are going to in May (obvs). I will Ebay it afterwards to raise funds for MH charities. Another couple of CS finds for reselling for my charity fundraising or gifting – not sure yet. I’ve been to Aldi for the weekly shop and also bought a new doormat in the middle aisle – last of the big spenders. Not a single egg to be had.....
The curry last night was nice – a new to us takeaway joint. No awkwardness on our part and didn’t get home until 1am!
@carolbee – oh dear to the transparent swimsuit!
@dp1 – glad you have an understanding boss and get well soon x
@TravellingAbuela – glad you enjoyed the panto x
RedRuby1231 – sending hugs to you on your DB’s anniversary x
@-taff – good work on the chest of drawers – they sound fab. I do so love an upcycling project!
Get well soon @camelot1001 x
Lemon muffins mmmmmm @Chrisca50
It’s been a nice day here too @iris – hope you had a good day x
Have a good evening all

Lovely walk in the countryside earlier followed by a yummy coffee at nearby farm shop. We all, ie OH me and dog have been napping in chairs/on settee this afternoon, must try and pick off a couple of things off my to do list before the day is over. Leftover yummy cottage pie for OH's tea, but no idea what I can have, my fall back is usually an omelette of some kind, but ate 2 dippy eggs for breakfast.
Forgot to post, so tea was the last of the steaky bacon, 2 mini Quiches which I had just cobbled together from odds and ends lurking in the fridge, together with some steamed broccoli and green beans, it was surprisingly tasty. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
