Bank account travel insurance with cruise cover

Can anybody help me please? Are there any travel insurance policies that are linked to paid for bank accounts or credit cards that offer all the cruise cover as standard (missed ports etc)? Many don't seem to do it or have exclusions. TIA

Not looked at the details but the headline on Barclay's Travel Pack that you can add to various of their accounts states it covers cruises (and winter sports etc)1

I'd be surprised if you find one with cruise cover as standard. The vast majority don't need it and to include it as standard would be additional cost to the bank.

AFAIK our Co-op Bank Everyday Extra Reward current account travel insurance includes cruises.I had a look through the policy guide - no exclusion of cruises was obvious.I'd need to double check that on Monday.1

Standard travel insurance policies won't actually exclude cruise holidays, but there is additional cruise-specific cover available as a specialist add-on, for aspects relating only to cruises, and I believe that this is what OP is after ("missed ports etc"):NoodleDoodleMan said:AFAIK our Co-op Bank Everyday Extra Reward current account travel insurance includes cruises.I had a look through the policy guide - no exclusion of cruises was obvious.I'd need to double check that on Monday.
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/cheap-travel-insurance/#accordion-content-0517185084-8Most regular travel policies will only cover you for loss or theft of goods and medical costs while you're on a cruise. You may NOT be covered for other eventualities unless you upgrade your policy. These include:
- Missed departure
- Unused cruise excursions, for instance, a day trip to a city port
- Cruise itinerary change
- Cabin confinement, for example, onboard virus
To get cover for these, you can usually select an add-on to get the right protection – which won't break the bank.

It's just £40 extra for cruise cover with Nationwide.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Not necessarily... pricing on wholesale products to be bundled is totally different to consumer prices. With one of the car breakdown services they charge identical price for their EU cover as UK to banks etc as 99% of people dont use it and rates of breakdown overseas is typically much lower anyway as people get their vehicle checked out etc before a long trip.TELLIT01 said:I'd be surprised if you find one with cruise cover as standard. There isnt necessarily any link between wholesale and retail pricing though... at least one of their customers used to charge a modest amount to upgrade the cover to EU but 100% of that went into the banks pockets and nothing to the insurer.1 -
I checked with AXA on our Co-op Bank Rewards Extra account travel insurance - cruise cover is included. The helpful lady advised that an up to date policy document to that effect would be emailed.Apologies for slow response - too many distractions this week.0
