    I found it really interesting when he quoted for cash as requested (I was actually there once when it happened).  He said they never ask how much it is to pay by cheque once they have the cash quote.  But we are talking several k at a time & he would use the cash to buy, which also went through the books.  He always said it just wasn't worth the agro of not.  He retired last year at 75 though & had customers coming back that had first bought from him at 21, so he must have been doing something right.
