  • Oh. I must have been one of the very lucky ones, got a voucher for 5000 Nectar points after my self scan shop at our Bude branch. Had to go through the manned tills as bought razor blades so needed the security tag taken off.
However I did also enter a Nectar app draw to "win" a years worth of shopping as part of this promotion. 1 million points worth £5000 up for grabs?! Not heard if I won that though!! Anyone else?

I phoned Customer Care on the number that was quoted above before I read this thread.  The man I spoke to was very vague and more or less came across as not knowing anything about the promotion. He also wanted to know if I'd made a purchase on Saturday and checked my nectar card.  To be honest he was quite rude.  He told me I may get up to 1000 points added to my account but it could take up to 28 days.  He wasn't interested in carrying on with the conversation and there was no apology.  If I knew where I could complain about his service I would.

I got an email from them yesterday confirming the error and giving me 1000 points as a good will gesture, works for me, I didn't even know about the offer so my shop and the fact I spent just over £20 was completely random!

  • @MSE_ForumTeam2 Do you happen to know if the other parts of the bonanza were working properly?
    There were 3 prize draws.
    1. tick a box in the app to enter
    2. daily draws
    3. spend over £20 on 4 Feb

The details for the daily draws are below:

Offer runs 27/01/2023 - 04/02/2023. Five prizes of 10,000 Nectar points will be drawn every day from 27/01/2022 to 04/02/2023. To be in with a chance of winning the daily prize draw, you must have entered on that day. One entry per person per day. There are 45 prizes of 10,000 Nectar points overall. To enter shop instore or online and swipe your Nectar card at the checkout for automatic entry to the draw.

Seeing as they messed up 3, how do I know if I was entered for the daily draws in item 2?

Or indeed for the big prize in item 1?

    Thanks.

there are suppose to be people who independently verify these things ? erm

i guess they just give out the prizes to the staff in evening like they did with no.3, and pretend that they know nothing....

its all abit like where woody reads the ball the wrong way round on the cheers raffle episode (Cheers - Series 6: Episode 21 | All 4 (channel4.com))

there is the ASA complaint form, i doubt they will do much tho (but it will be on record for the future at least), say its an "accident". ooopsie daisie. doh.

like the accident where they never even bothered tell staff about the promotion, and then the accident where they told everyone on twitter to go back in to the store and the staff still didn't know f a about the promotion. :*  >:)

lot of accidents it seems.... me thinks it was not an accident, they just don't *really* care less about the customers experience (if they did then the nectar management / people would of not been passing the buck back to go back in to the store where nothing was being done!)
    no one taking accountability...

I think on the app you had to manually enter that you wanted to take part.

I spent £20 odd quid, and got a 2,000 point voucher.
