Barclays Blue Rewards Direct Debits

Hi All. I'm aware that to qualify for the Blue Rewards 2 DD's need to leave the account each month, but do they have to be separate DD's? As in to different places/companies? Or can I simply set up Plum to take two a month and that will be fine?

Thanks

Reportedly, it can be the same DD taken twice.

I can confirm, same DD works (or at least did up to a year ago - I used to have a weekly £1 Post Office DD).
  • Not that I'm complaining but I only paid 1 DD (for my Amex card) in January, yet I still got paid the £5 from Barclays!  I was sure there had to be 2 DD's paid out in the calendar month for them to give the £5.

Nope been on it since about August I think.
  • T&C's certainly make it sound like it's just 2 payments not 2 different direct debits

"Receive a £5 reward each month for having two or more Direct Debit payments. You’re eligible for this reward if the Direct Debits are successfully paid from your nominated current account."

Sorry to jump on this oldish thread but.. am just going through the Barclays blue rewards dd’s and I’m planning on using PayPal, so can I find my account twice a month then and that will be two direct debits and count? Thanks
