  • I have now received a 'Letter of Claim' from dcb legal. As per B789's post on the previous page all the information from section 3 of the justice.gov.uk pdf is included in this latest letter.

Is it time to pay up? :(

Absolutely not! If you pay, you become part of the problem. It's time to read the guide to court written by bargepole that you will find in the NEWBIES, and read the template defence thread that includes a twelve step guide on what to do.
You could, if you want more time, send a hold instruction to DCB Legal telling them that whilst you deny the debt you are seeking debt advice and require the case to be put on hold for thirty days as per the court pre-action protocol.

How did Plan A go? (A complaint to the landowner and your MP).

Please tell us precisely where the alleged event occurred, and what the particulars of claim say.

Get photos of the site and signage. Use Google Streetview images if that helps.

  • It has been a while @missmoneyparker since your last post about 'Letter of Claim'. Has there been any updates on how you prepared your defence and the outcome?

    PS: I am in
a similar situation but just one step behind. Received GCCTT letter about Transfer of Solictor. As advised on this forum, I keep on ignoring. But anticipating the LoC like you.

Hasn't visited the forum for over 7 months, so probably won't see your post. Try sending her a PM (using the envelope symbol at the top of the page next to your Profile) when she should receive an email notifying her that you're trying to make contact.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Just to close this thread....I paid up in the end. It was all too easy ignoring all the letters but I just didn't have the time or focus to pursue it further after the 'Letter of Claim.
