Fuzzgun, did you have it near the top of the microwave? I find sometimes that if I use the rack on the taller setting (i.e. to fit other bits underneath it), 'sensitive' foods will burn on top, e.g. yorkshire puds.
I've had just a combi microwave for a while now, and find it much easier to have pre-made a batch of yorkshire puds (I often pop to my nan's to make a big batch in her oven, as I can only fit a small silicone muffin tray in my microwave) and just chuck a couple in to warm through.0 -
I think you might get better results if you do use the rack, to enable the heat to circulate underneath the pudding. Perhaps a metal baking tray would help the bottom to colour more than a pyrex dish?0

Hi krlyr, no I had it on the bottom of the oven at the lowest point, I even took out the glass plate, and balanced the pyrex dish on the thingy that goes round in the middle, so it couldn't get any lower.Fuzzgun, did you have it near the top of the microwave? I think I'll just have to stick to the conventional oven for yorkshires!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
