MS Office Product Key

Hi,

my daughters laptop is saying its need a Product Key for MS Office or I need to buy a whole new software.
Anybody know how to get a Product Key.

If you download and run Belarc Adviser -Free - and run it then the report shows the software installed on your computer together with the product key where applicable.

A few options :- 1. buy one from Microsoft (£60 or £70/year last time I looked)
2. groupon and wowcher do various MS office packages from around £20 one-off payment(** get the professional version if you need Outlook) (*** voucher system works but is a little fiddly)
3. ebay?
4. office starter 2010 is free (includes Word and Excel) but fiddly to install
5. get an alternative office suite for free

Is she a student at school or university?

Most institutions have a deal with microsoft where students get office free, it activates through their school email address.

You don't actually say if you already have MS Office that you have purchased.

If yes, then Belarc or Magical Jelly Bean will get the key
