Vodafone essentials, discounted social broadband

Hi all
just wondered if anyone else was having trouble trying to get hold of this discounted social broadband especially from Vodafone.
I have applied twice now once in December and again in January and heard nothing from them.
Its great publicity to state you are helping people in need but actually doing it, well in my experience it’s just not happening. Maybe it’s because I am already with Vodafone and paying more than the discounted tariff that they are ignoring me.
Has anyone else had similar?

hi yes! we are same situation phoned and nothing after asking twice. Our contract ends in May and they have said that if we left early its only £10 to break contract for some reason so i might look at who else does this social discount as its for my dad hes on pension credits.1
