Refund of cancelled train tickets due to strikes

Hi,
I've booked some train tickets through trainline and they charges a £1.99 processing fee.
The tickets have been cancelled as strikes will be happening on the day we were due to travel.
They have refunded the ticket cost, but not there fee.
I know it's only £1.99 but should I be left out of pocket for the train being cancelled ?
Thanks

They don't have to refund that fee. The fee is for processing the original transaction which they have done.
Using a company to book the tickets who charge a fee was your choice. You could have used the train company directly who, i believe, don't charge a processing fee.1 -
Either suck it up or take them to court, anything else will just result in a campaign of obfuscation that will just wear you down.
They will claim they are just acting for the train company by offering a service and T&Cs etc etc0 -
Thanks for the replies.
As it's only £1.99 I'm not bothered about it, but I wanted to see if they should have refunded this or not.

Two questions about your advice:Flight3287462 said:Either suck it up or take them to court, anything else will just result in a campaign of obfuscation that will just wear you down.- Which is the court where you go to claim £1.99?
- What are your grounds for a claim? They carried out the processing exactly as their T&Cs.

I'm happy with the answers I've received so this can be marked as solved or closed.
Thanks1 -
It's a useful reminder that trainline and similar sites are not usually the best way to buy tickets. There were a lot of similar posts in the pandemic, where people got full refunds from rail companies for cancelled services, but struggled with these agency sites.1
