What’s next after the Help to Buy ISA?

I have a help to buy ISA and I am
filling it at the allowed rate of £200pm, but as the limit for what you can claim as extra funds is £3000 (25% of 12000) what is the best way to continue saving rather than over filling the help to buy ISA?
Is there another scheme which can be used in tandem with the htb ISA for a first time property or just another general saving scheme which has good rates/benefits?

If you are under 40 then transferring your HTB to a LISA would be better. Everyone is allowed to save up to £20,000 in ISA each tax year so you can put your remaining ISA allowance in a different ISA from HTB/LISA. For anything other than that you'd be as well looking at MSE's top savings accounts. It also depends on how soon you think you will want to buy. If you are aiming to buy in the next couple of years then stocks & shares probably aren't for you. You also need to consider how long you are willing to lock away your money or if you may need instant access to it.I will caveat the above by saying that no one should take financial advice from me.

There has been a warning issued by MSE/Martin this week about LISA's not being suitable for all, too - which you would be advised to read, although it sounds as though the circumstances are unlikely to be applicable to you.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

If a LISA isn't suitable because you're limited to a purchase rice of £450,000 then the HTB ISA isn't suitable either, even less so outside of London.
