EDF Fix early exit fees and the EPG?

I vaguely remember back in September/October that many of the suppliers, including EDF stated that they would suspend exit fees for people who had taken out fixed rate tariffs in the months preceding the announcement of the EPG. However I am now unable to find any formal statement to this effect on the EDF web site.
I had taken out the Fixed April2024v2 E7 tariff, but due to the government making multiple U-Turns regarding the EPG in September/October I decided to remain on the fix as the overall cost wasn't hugely different to the EPG.
However when the new E7 rates were in-force in January I decided to switch to the EPG as given that our winter usage is about 85% night rate the 7p night rate was a no-brainer against the 19p ('discounted' from 20p) night rate that applied to the fixed tariff.
But I notice they have charged me a £150 exit fee, as was agreed at the time I began the tariff in April 2022. Was there a limited timeframe in which they waived the exit fees and has that period ended? I can't now find a definitive statement on the matter.

I believe you had until November to take the suppliers up on the "No exit fee" option - someone else may remember for sure if that was the case though.
*edit - just checked back on Martin's video briefing from the time -"No charges until at least 15th November" was what he said energy firm bosses had agreed to.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I seem to recall the deadline for the no exit fee was November - could be wrong. I know there was definitely a deadline though and it would have been in 2022!

Thanks for confirming that. It's no big deal as I agreed to that at the time of contracting-in and in any case we will save far more than the exit fee in the remainder of this winter alone. Potentially we will save many times that again if EDF keep their EPG off-peak rate at a comparably low level throughout next winter as well.0

I know a lot of people have had issues with EDF but to counterbalance that I've actually had quite a good experience with them. As we have reduced our consumption a lot (and by luck were abroad during the very cold weeks of December!) I had accumulated a large credit balance. Within 5 days of changing tariff they automatically refunded this to my bank account which was a handy bonus in mid January! I didn't even have to ask.
