White DS Lited ordered from JL - Black one delivered

Options
Now what do I do. My son ordered a white DS Lite from John Lewis to give to his sister. A black one, in a black box, with the John Lewis order sticker saying white DS arrived yesterday. I suppose I now have to get on to John Lewis in the hope they can exchange it. I should be so lucky.

They have white on amazon right now, maybe you could buy the white and get a refund from JL. Otherwise you might miss out. How annoying!
  • Don't bother trying to exchange in a John Lewis branch, they have no DS's this side of Christmas whatsoever (I checked the system earlier today!).

To a child, it really matters.

It would matter to me too and I'm over 30 :rotfl:

A girl would least prefer the black out of all of them and seeing as the OP ordered white and stock is becoming more available why settle wth one in the wrong colour at £100! :p

Thanks to everyone who tried to give me helpful advice. My son telephoned John Lewis, who needless to say were very apologetic and basically useless. The best offer he got was to return it for a refund. When he said that would not provide his sister with the DS in white which he wanted to give her, he was offered £20 in compensation, which he, needless to say, gratefully accepted. Entrepreneur that he is, he sold the black one and managed to get her the white one, and saved himself some money in the process.

    Happy Holidays to all MSE'rs.
