Tax-Free Childcare scheme (which parent to apply)

Hi,

I was about to apply for the Tax-Free Childcare scheme but my partner earns more than me.  Is there any tax benefit for them to make the application as the higher earner or does it not make any difference?  FYI both of us earn less than 100k.

Thank you!

I can't see that it makes any difference who applies.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
