New solar and battery system help

You are unlikely on most days to be generating much at this time of year. I have a similar system and on the sunniest days at the moment I might get 15kwh but most cloudy days only about 1kwh.Mind if I suggest you don't turn off overnight charging? It is early days for you and not necessarily a good thing to do that, especially if the battery is low. Do you have an iboost or eddi?London. 6.4kwh system, South facing. 16 Hyundai 400kw all black panels w/ optimisers, 6kw Solaredge HD Wave inverter, Solar Iboost with two immersion heaters on one 240l hw tank. Octopus Flux. Ivar 5 Wood Burning Stove. Leaf 62kwh plus Zappi. Two chickens: 1 Light Sussex, 1 Speckled Rock. Omlet walk-in run. Approx 1.5 eggs per day egg generation rate using Marriage's organic layers pellets.0

Thanks for the replies. We're in the flatlands of Lincolnshire and we do have very favourable conditions, though I take the point that the generation seems high and this may well end up being as a result of whatever is wrong. On a poor day we generate about 4-5kWh according to our system.
Mikeyboy - yes, our system is set to Self Use. I agree the graphs can be very confusing, but they are actually where the problem becomes most apparent, because they're showing the very high total consumption figures that cannot possibly be accurate. The inverter itself is showing the same solar generation figure as the Solax app, so there's definitely nothing going wrong in between the two. It's possible that the Solax graphs might essentially be counting the battery charging and battery usage both as house consumption, because that would explain the huge figure. I dropped the percentage charge from the grid this week because we've had more sunshine and the consumption figure has dropped significantly both in the Solax app and through our energy company.

How does the smart meter reading for January 2023 compare to January 2022?
For the size of your system I would expect consumption to have dropped by at least 200kWh less whatever you exported.
Also think about your household demand & anything that could have significantly increased the consumption during the comparison period - immersion heater use, electric space heaters, electric shower, ASHP, induction hob?

Is the CT clamp fitted in the right place and the right way round. I'm not an electrical expert at all, but I have seen on some forums that this can cause really "flaky" readings. You said you have a Solax system - is there a users forum for this supplier. I have a Giv Energy system, and have found the more experienced users on the forum invaluable for giving suggestions, and just general advice for a newbie0

I was reading this thread and thinking the same thing. My GE system has a CT clamp on the main (post fuse) line to measure the grid in/out. The other is around a cable coming out of the inverter into the fuse box. CT clamps have to be orientated the right way too (house side towards the fuse box). But you'd always hope that your installer would know that!0
