What is the requirements for obtaining AA? Assistance needed with tasks is a requisite or can everyone on pension obtain this?

In other terms, to obtain it, a individual needs assistance with daily tasks otherwise just earning and being the pension age won't be enough?

    He is single.

Needs assistance but doesn’t have to be getting it. It’s not based on income so what he is or isn’t getting isn’t relevant. Have you read the links that were posted earlier because that will tell you the areas that would qualify him?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    Hi
Re the "assistance" that is why so many dont apply - it is he requires it but does not have to get it and not as able as before, EG, go to the shops and carry back is one example another is he strip washes and take a long time and this is not via choice etc but he cant get in and oth of bath/shower etc as at risk or not able etc - read the links

Finally, most coucils have benefits advisors when i worked for them or they will have contacts for those experience with completing these forms and there is a way to do them that ensures those reading them get the message.

    Good luck
