I've been notified in a telephone call I've been refused PIP, once I receive a letter will I be able to appeal and are many appeals successful?

The first step is the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) Most MR decisions remain the same, only about 23% of decisions change at that stage. You should put the request in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.
