Universal credit and child benefit ending

I have 2 children, one who is 14 years old and one who is currently 18 years (born 2005) old but in full-time education until July 2024.

Will the payments for child benefit and universal credit stop as soon as he leaves education in July 2024?

Thanks

When approved education or training ends

When your child leaves approved education or training, payments will stop at the end of February, 31 May, 31 August or 30 November (whichever comes first).

Yes, the child element of UC will also end, but the dates will be different depending upon your AP end date. UC is paid based on your circumstances at the end of the AP, so if for example Child Benefit ends on 31st August, and your UC assessment period (AP) ends on 10th September, you would not receive the child element of UC for the whole assessment period.
