If you don't want them, and won't use them, why are you considering doing anything other than getting rid of them? Most will be worth a few pence, if that, on something like Music Magpie. Pack them up and pass them on to local charity shops.

Streams aren't always the highest quality, though as you get older if you're like me you won't be able to the difference.The big reason for keeping CDs is that you will always own them. Can you guarantee that your preferred streaming service will always include all the music on your CDs in whaterver price plan that you might be on in the future?1

Rip them lossless to .wav files ie not mp3
you can compress the lossless .wav to lossless .flac if you need to save disk space, otherwise don't bother.0 -
Legally the only thing you can do with the actual CD is keep it or destroy it. If you sell it on / give it away you are no longer legally allowed to keep the digital copy unless you re-purchase it from one of the digital channels.

I'm not sure what the OP is hoping to achieve. If you rip the CD content to store on your computer, you'll need a program to rip and index the CD tracks plus each CD will take around 300MB of disk space using a format like FLAC.1
