HSBC - "Telephone Banking ID" vs "Telephone Security Number" and Physical Secure Key (PSK)

Trying to register for online/mobile banking for the first time with HSBC.
"Telephone Banking ID" and "Telephone Security Number". Are these the same thing? I have not received my "Telephone Banking ID" yet, I thought this was only required for phone banking (according to the Welcome Pack). Trying to register for online or mobile banking I'm asked for my "Telephone Security Number". The description seems to suggest it could be the same thing, but it's not clearly stated. Can I set this up by calling or do I need to wait for this number to arrive by post before I can set up my online/phone banking?
Do HSBC no longer automatically send Physical Secure Key and it has to be specifically requested? I'm familiar with the physical vs digital mainly from similar First Direct and remember it wasn't possible to switch back once on digital so would prefer not to lock myself into the more restrictive and sometimes glitching digital/mobile version just yet.

They are the same thing.
You should be able to set up your Telephone Security Number (explained in the Welcome Pack) if you don't want to wait for the post to arrive. There have been reports from others of HSBC not allowing this for individual cases, but you won't know for yourself until you try.
You can still request a Physical Secure Key during the online banking registration process.1 -
HSBC used to have voice security: 'My voice is my password.' but latterly- can't remember when I switched- I was unable to use it as it never connected. Then the facility was removed because I hadn't used it!! I found it very handy - when it worked!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything! --
Many thanks
