Changing Travellers Cheques After Getting Back From Hol

Wheres the best place to change my travellers cheques(dollars) back to sterling? Can i still do this over the net, i got them from currency express.

    You will still be nastily surprised at the loss on what you paid for them.

    I doubt if you can actually do it over the net (but am prepared to be proved wrong). You are going to have to send them, insured either by the PO or by taking the risk yourself, somewhere, and I doubt if they will be processed until they get there, even if you have set it going over the net.
  • Are you likely to go again to the US?

    If it was me I would hold on to them as they never go out of date otherwise as previous poster mentioned you are looking at about a 20 cent difference in the exchange rate to change them back.

    Personally now I only take cash and cards with me to the states - I haven't used a T/C in years.
  • if you are going to a tourist resort in europe ( costas , mallorca etc) you could take them and change them into euros and not get stung as you will do here.
  • The dollar is weak against most major currencies including that monopoly money the Euro.
    So OP will still lose out heavily whatever currency he changes them to/from.

    the method i have stated is one i have used in years gone by and works compared to changing the cheques here in the uk . the same would be true for changing cash dollars
