Greyish wood stain?

I've just bought a sideboard from a charity shop. It's fantastically vintage, solid and clunky with lovely variations in the wood tone. However the colour is a bit warm/orangey for the rest of the room decor. Is there a wood stain/ varnish that would give it a cooler/greyish tone while remaining fairly translucent and still allowing the variation of the wood to show?

You can get a test kit with 9 coloured stains, black, grey, slate etc. to try on the back. Sand with fine sandpaper first to remove any polish.

Thanks, I'm chuffed with it. 1930s I think. I've just ordered some grey stain from the place @knightstyle recommended above. I don't want to ruin it, just take the brassy edge off. It's more orangey in real life than it looks in the picture. I'll be carefully testing it first of course!2
