Searching

Can anyone help me on how to search the competitions time board?
When I search it comes up with threads from everywhere but what I want is a list of the posts, the same as the board, so I can mark them as 'not entered' for the ones I don't want to enter such as IG ones. 
Can this be done or is the search facility not set up for this?

There are a couple of threads about searching, with examples, and at the moment the search seems to work not too badly. Unfortunately you do not get the option to mark the comps shown by the search as Entered or Skipped and have to click on the link to do that.
Here is an example of a search which I use, returns competitions which are Magazine Dailies (MD) hopefully. (Change the (md) to what you want to search for but leave the quotes)

As I was struggling with the search function I was also unable to search help with the search function!
I have had sometime off from comping but am now trying to get back in the game.
