@topsyturphy definitely complain to PALS - none of that is right or acceptable.
@TravellingAbuela I made leek & tattie soup yesterday 😋
@Gers enjoy your Maltesers 😊
Baking today as I fancy a coffee & walnut cake and have a block of Flora plant butter to try - at less than half the price per kilo of Asda's own, I'm hoping it's good! I also want to make a fresh (& half tinned) fruit salad & do some laundry, although it will have to go on the airer to dry.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi everyone,
I'm feeling much less tired today, just as well as I want to get on a bit today. The family are going to see friends in London and will have lunch out so I won't have to make dinner tonight, they'll probably have cheese and biscuits or something.
Esther has been sleeping really well at night (hope I don't jinx it), going 7 or 8 hours at a stretch which makes a big difference to Laura. Unfortunately by the time she wakes Laura is really full and Esther gets overwhelmed and has had some spectacular vomiting episodes. She's going to try giving a bottle and expressing first thing to see if that helps.
Topsy, I'm sorry you had such an awful time but I bet your son is pleased to be home.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all
Very frosty here and not set to get above freezing all day, OH had just gone out for a walk with little pup, big pup has a sore leg so will just have a walk around the block later.
The fire is roaring away and the lounge and kitchen are toasty warm, we have still not got the heating on as we dont want a huge bill !Dinner tonight will be something with a gammon joint, either mash and peas or chips and peas will decide later.
I had a bath yesterday for the first time since my op it was pure bliss ! I was worried about getting myself out of it but managed very well, a bath is far more warming than a shower.
Topsy that’s terrible ! Hope he is more comfortable now xx
Have good days all and stay safe in the cold xx11 -
Morning all, still frozen here. We are thinking of asking our councillor about having a grit box on the bend at the bottom of the hill, it's still lethal for the cars. We still haven't heard anything about the van being repaired, but the hire van provided is almost new with all the gadgetry, so DH isn't too bothered apart from our van taking up a valuable parking spot here.I haven't caught up on yesterdays thread but it's good to hear there were lots more posts! I shall catch up after.Usual busy Saturday. DGS footie was still on as they are artificial pitches, so blooming cold watching though. DGD's is off today, that was away on a grass pitch- frozen, so they are just having a training session this afternoon at home.DH & DS1 have gone to an exhibition at our club stadium. I could have gone but the retail park next to it doesn't open until 11. I might make a lower carb cake whilst they are out. I make and cut into slices to freeze & have for my pud at weekends. Flat iron steak for tea tonight, sticky toffee pud for the men.Maddie lovely to hear about your new dog. Our sometimes grumpy old lady met next doors new puppy yesterday. He barked at her for a good while & then came for a sniff throught the slats on the back gate. Her tail was wagging, then she got bored and turned roundGers glad you & Camelot had a nice chat- bonus Maltesers tooHugs to the poorly x Off for a catch up now!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Another frosty morning here in Kent. Thai curry for dinner and then sitting down to another footie match for the afternoon. Too cold to go out in the garden. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get out there and do some pruning.I can't remember who mentioned it on here a while back but want to say thanks to the person who mentioned Boom Radio. Love listening to the songs on there for 'my generation'. Haven't heard some of them for 40 odd years and I can sing along word perfect but can't remember what I had for dinner last night lolTopsy that's awful the way you and your son were treated at the hospital. Definitely complain.Have a good day everyone and {{hugs}} to all the poorly people.9

Afternoon everyone
Just a quickie today as I have little one still here - just till about 2 o'clock. We had a lovely long play with her lego yesterday - I've played lego with lots of children but she's the first one to ever ask me to make a chicken incubator? Why? I've no idea!
We walked down to mam and dads this morning - she took her new pram and baby and was very proud of herself for pushing it all the way.
Right, my attention is being needed. Hope you all have a good day x
Oh, I booked my flights to Croatia at the end of July - I wish I'd done it a few weeks ago as the prices have gone up, but never mind it's booked now x11 -
Afternoon. I have decided there is no point getting dressed today, today is a day for watching tv and playing games. Breakfast was a pitta from the freezer, I expect supper will either be pie or beef dinner with all bits coming from the freezer which I froze at Christmas. My friend who recently took voluntary redundancy is so happy not to be working even if it is , in her words, temporary. She gave me Esme's [GBSB} autobiogrpahy to read so can't wait to start that, I think she's brilliant and just the kind fo person I'd like to be or have been. And I forgot to bing home the bones for the foxes, doh! Other than that, I am not doing anything else today..I am in sloth mode...Topsy, definitely complain. Coxy, well done. TA, you're not having much anti-virus luck are you....ruby, good to hear you're doing better..Coxy, well done! Maddie, how lovely to have a second chance dog! WL, hope the weathe rimproves for you! Hey to all the newcomers and delurkers! Hugs to the unwells...Take care all, enjoy a slothful Sunday, except izzy, making work for herself but in a good causeNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi8

Late for me today ,I was on the road to Norwich ( 60 miles) by 7.45 am Thick patchy fog ,fortunately not freezing an -3to -5 all the way
somewhat predictably DGS match was called off whilst I was en route ,but I stayed
I took them out to lunch for a four birthday celebration .DS and the three DGS in a month around Christmas .
My DIL says it to get the unimportant ones out of the way to prepare for important one ( hers) in August ! Was good to see them all
another long trek back ,but at least no fog
won’t be late to bed tonight6 -
Hello! Odd sort of a day today….had the inclination to get up and do stuff but not the energy….hubby was revising for an exam tomorrow (to do with his work) so kept out of his way really. Pottered around the garden and planted some bulbs I was given at Christmas….I’ve done 2 lasagne pots. If you don’t know what that means, it’s doing layers of bulbs in between compost in the pot and then you get a “colourful” display come Spring. That’s the theory anyway!
I also cut off dead bits of things and threw dog number 1’s toy eleventy billion times. Dog number 2 just moaned about the birds invading his space…never had such a chatter box dog before he just doesn’t shut up 🤣
cleaned bits of the bathroom, chucked some washing on and then got very cold…..not an ex citing day at all really…🤔⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering
