NZETA for October holiday

Hello, can I ask how much time I should leave to apply for my New Zealand ETA?  I'm not going until October, and will only be visiting once.  I'm nervous of doing it after my experience of the ETA for India, I got confused over the 'given name' but and it came through with my surname twice.

Mine took about a day my husbands took a week, but they do recommend you get all visas before you book travel

Thanks Archergirl.  I'm not going until October, and luckily it's only an ETA,  but I'll do it next week when I get my pension.  I get so nervous of doing things on-line nowadays, probably need to go to Specsavers!

I've just applied and received an email saying it's been approved, phew!  I tried the App first and it just couldn't take my photo, I had to do it on line in the end.
