Debt collection searches appear in the soft search part of my credit report however after check with Equifax apparently they can be seen by lenders and do negatively effect your credit worthiness.
Is this true? I thought only hard searches were visible when applying for credit?
I will attach picture to show what I mean

Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject?

Soft searches are only seen by you.1

Who told you that soft searches are visible to lenders? To confirm Morning's correct statement, soft searches are only visible by you, secondly any impact on your "credit score" means nothing, the credit score is a made up marketing gimmick by the CRAs designed to get you to pay them a monthly fee for nothing.0
