Not sure if this is in the right place apologies if it isn't
I'm currently working full time but have just gone on to maternity leave after having a baby I'm due to go back in aug can I between now and then pick up a job on a evening ie one night a week without it affect my maternity leave if that makes sense.
My current job is 42hrs as I'm a manager and iv already been told I can't reduce the hours so I didn't want to go back yet but was looking for just something to do on a night just one day a week to get me out of the house. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks in advance

You have only mentioned maternity leave are you including maternity pay in this question?
If so is it SMP or maternity allowance.0 -

Appears to be SMP so if you do any work for the employer paying SMP beyond the KIT days allowed payment of SMP will stop. If you work for another employer who was not employing you during the qualifying week payment of SMP will stop. You are required to advise the employer paying SMP if this happens.
You are permitted to do self employed work without it affecting the payment of SMP.
Different rules apply to maternity allowance0
