Iv not paid a few of my creditors since Oct as I had a baby was in and out of hospital and stupidly forgot to make payments (worse thing I ever did)
Iv now started to ring them up and ask to go on payments plans untill I return to work in aug
Iv rung very payments have gone up with a bang to £700 a month. Now even with me going back to work I could never afford that iv rung them up with a offer of £10 a month (yes it's very low but with only being on SMP it's what I can afford) iv explained when I go back to work I will up the payments once more. They refused the payment and only advice was ring step change pay the account off of go down a default route I think she said. I explained I wanted to pay it off but unfortunately at the moment was struggling she was having non of it and said they would suspend my account for 30 days to either ring step change or come up with the money. If I ring again and offer more would this work?
I was ment to ring my other creditors but due to getting that reaction from my first I didn't ring any other yesterday.
Any advice.

Well that's not bad advice. If you're struggling to make payments then getting a debt management plan through someone who doesn't charge a fee is a good option .
There are two:
Stepchange- 0800 138 1111
Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm
and Payplan- 0800 280 2816 – 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturdays
0 - 0800 138 1111

HI there, lots of people on this board have gone down that route. Was there any reason why you didn't want to do this. Step Change can probably help you clear up any worries and help you improve your understanding.
Also be careful calling others until you have received advice, so I think your instincts were good there
Finally hope everything is going well with your new arrival!!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0
