First they approach you via whats app promising profits via optimsing merchants products for a small profit
Earnings via salary and profits for 30-60min days work 
Asked to create an account on Singular website - load it with USDT currency to activate sessions. Very likely that they will load it with big items so account goes to minus and then you need to recharge it!
They only communicate via whats app, and even put you in a whats app group with other supposedly users

My friend's money is stuck there and they won't burge - advising him to borrow to proceed and complete his tasks !
Quick check on Companies House and the Director listed denied to be associated with the Company!

Not sure what my Friend's rights are to recover his funds

Did your friend do any research before they invested?

A Google search of the name beings up mention of a gaming site as the main finding (I spent only 5 mins on this) and the website login makes me suspicious.

Scam companies promise easy returns to draw people in and then encourage you to 'invest' more to release your gains when what they mean is 'let us bleed you dry because we want to be rich'.

Your friend I think has lost their money and shouldn't expect to recover any of it.

Companies House is where he looked - reg 10169243 ( certificate of incorporation on their site )

Note that they are several companies with similar name- they claimed to be market analysis and product optmisation- which is close what Singular Labs is doing (not related)
they even go ahead to name Singular Labs Director as their CEO on Companies House 
However on contacting him he says he is not affiliated to them and is all a scam and they are looking into to it !

100% a scam.

Sadly your friend has lost his money. Hopefully he didn't put too much money into this.

You can setup a company with a trading name completely different to the limited company name ABC Ltd trading as XYZ and if a scam you can lie when setting up the directors names or even lie about not being a director.

Regardless, all your friend can do is report the scam and pass on as much information as they can. Also not respond to any other 'opportunities' that come their way as they may now be on a target list.

If professional, the scammers will have vanished before they can be identified or if legitimate will have some caveat terms to wriggle out of blame.

Via crypto currency it seems. Another HUGE red flag.

Hope this is shared to save other souls out there! 

Will assist my friend as much as I can. 
They have already opened a case with Action Fraud
