Mirror wills

I have been viewing this board for a long time and the wealth of knowledge helped when dealing with my mother's estate which was small and most of it was passed to my Dad apart from small payments to the grandchildren.

My dad passed away on Wednesday and I am the executor for him as well. He and my my mum had mirror wills so his will states small payments to the grandchildren and the rest of the estate split 3 way between my brother, sister and me.

Are the grandchildren entitled to money from both wills as they are mirror wills

Apologies for the basic question but couldn't find anything similar when I searched the forum

Thanks

They're entitled to whatever your dad's Will says they're entitled to. You don't start implying conditionality (about "unless mum dies first" etc) if it doesn't say anything about it.

According to your opening post the grandchildren have already received their bequest from grandmother, but that does not cancel out the the bequests on grandfather’s will unless it contains a clause explicitly saying that.
